Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri Cocktail Recipe

Maybe we’re nearing the end of summer, but I say, go out loud and mix huge groups of frozen strawberry daikiri while they Still in season. And one of the best frozen strawberry pickles I have ever tasted Ostrich farm At Echo Park, where bartender Jeremy Simpson serves them late at night on the late-night menu. Why in the dark at night instead of during brunch or dinner for that matter? Because this blender produces such a bat, it destroys the atmosphere.

You may remember Jeremy from his time at Bestia DTLA (it’s Old-fashioned chef!) And a good household. But now he is doing his thing on an ostrich farm, with simple cocktails made with quality alcohol and fresh produce. The idea to serve frozen strawberry daik at the bar came about when chef / co-owner Jamie Torrey decided to include melted patties in the late night menu. “I started thinking about a kind of American nostalgia of yesteryear, where people just ate good food and drink and enjoyed, calories or sugar content to hell. It’s about it anyway, an appreciation of what is eternal, and why it is,” Jeremy says.

If you want to drink frozen strawberry daikiri all day or just make a pitcher for your workday weekend party, here’s the recipe that Jeremy was good enough to share. By the way, he uses Kana Brava 7 years Because he likes rum and white rum to get lost in ice and strawberries. Stick to something old-fashioned that has caramel and vanilla notes that will compliment the acidity of the lime juice and the sweetness of the fruit.

  • 2 ounces Cana Brava 7 yr.
  • 2 strawberries, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup ice

Add ingredients to blender before adding ice.
Add ice and stir 4-5 times to break up the ice and strawberries.

Beat the blender on a hard surface several times to release the contents and pour into a cup glass.
Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.
