Now that Thanksgiving is over, It’s time for the pop-up bars of these holidays to grow. The first of which is Jingled Up, and is now open downtown on 711 Main St, at the former BirdDog Saint Point.
Jingled Up is the latest pop-up from the Plethora / Four44 Hospitality Group, which last year hosted Santa’s Tavern at the Porch Swing Pub. It is known as an experience for all ages with a kid-friendly meal, like decorating cookies and pictures with Santa on Sundays, while adult activities, like karaoke and trivia, will be offered at night. Look for whimsical cocktails, like the fruity sleigh ride with edible glitter and snowflakes.
“Jingled Up is going to be a place where Houstoners can create unforgettable experiences and enjoy everything Christmas-related – from the decor to the food and drinks,” Plethora / Four44 Hospitality Group owner Holloway said in a statement. “We hope to provide a place where family and friends can gather to celebrate the season.”
Holloway addresses Covid-19 regulations by allowing for 60 percent of normal capacity at a time. In addition, temperatures are taken upon entering the pop-up window; Disinfection stations are located around the space; Masks are needed for entry and walking around; And photos with a socially distant Santa.
A small food menu at Jingled Up includes items like red and green fries, cinnamon pretzels, and green eggs and pork.
Tickets cost $ 30 for adults and $ 15 for children ages 5-14. Children are not allowed after 5pm daily. It is open from 11:00 to 1:30 a.m. Sunday-Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
