After what feels like years during Panorama life, the citizens of Kansas City finally get a chance to embrace the great outdoors again, even the chance to come with other IRLs. Although things are not living exactly as we knew them, there is a hint of a face-to-face acquaintance. Now, some of you may need a minute for the awkwardness of not wearing real pants or talking to someone off-screen in the last year to fade away, and believe me; There is no sentence in my voice; It has been a strange year.
For a cool young mom, for two, I wasted an astonishingly small amount pushing myself back into the world. I mean…. What mom is not ready for is the world to reopen because their home now needs the kind of deep cleaning that only months of hosting children can leave you with. Grocery runs and trips to Target can only hold a girl so long. My favorite moment KC based IG account I took out the list of venues outside, I was in my wallet and at the ticket purchasing site in less than five minutes. A real achievement. With a combination of modern outdoor space, delicious food and the composition of dumb local artists?

to enter Lemonade Park.
Lemons … Lemonade … Beyonce is not the only one who feels this. Housed in the West Bottoms near the old Camper Arena, in the evolving courtyard districts, Lemonade Park – a performance venue in a cozy open-air atmosphere, with grass (okay, so it’s grass, but honestly, better that way) and picnic tables. Created by some cool people at Voltaire, the Golden Bull, Moxie Catering and the Record Bar we have built a new kind of music hall. Lemonade Park presents itself as an outdoor entertainment place with a safety thought born out of creativity and necessity.
This place serves cocktails and food as well. Meal for adults, while I enjoyed the pom chips and garlic aioli, it’s the kind of place that even from the budget area with your chair, you can see the stage and all the corners of the place. Great for budgets and even better for moms who are determined to give their kids the freedom to wander around and enjoy the fun for themselves. It is also the type of place that has delicious cocktails for adults and shows of 21 and up that are invited throughout the summer for dating nights or time with friends. Includes cool benches and picnic tables securely placed across the lawn, while beautiful bright lights envelop the stage in a dreamy IG Chic intimate concert atmosphere. The ensemble features a busy calendar of some of the best local artists and groups. You can expect that as the nights get longer and people start to warm up to the idea of being outside and around people again in a safe and socially distant way, this will be the place to be. Maybe even catch me there absorbing starry nights where my baby still calls me the cool mom.
